“We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone.” Psalms 33:20-22 NLT
To hope means to believe, to desire, to trust, to rely, to look forward to. Hope comes with a sense of expectancy or longing, but hope also requires waiting and patience.
The psalmist declares that his hope is in the Lord. What about you? Where's your hope? Is your hope in God alone?
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.” Psalms 62:5 NLT
“So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!” Psalms 31:24 NLT
“And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.” Psalms 39:7 NLT
