When speaking with children's groups during our time as missionaries I would always ask the question, "What is a missionary?" Inevitably, I would get the same response: "Someone who goes and tells someone else about Jesus." What a great answer.
If you accept the answer that the children have given, then it comes back to: who is a missionary? “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”” Matthew 28:19-20 NLT This is the charge from Jesus himself to His disciples. Are you a disciple of Jesus? A born-again believer...a follower of Christ...a Christian? Then aren't we by definition a missionary - one who is called to tell someone else about Jesus. God has given you a very specific mission field: The world in which you live...your circle of influence at school, or work, even at home. Find someone today and share. Bro. Joe
