Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5, 6 NLT
One of the most consistent messages from God over the last eight years of my life has come in the form of the question, "Do you trust me?" My answer has sometimes been "absolutely" and other times been, "yes, but."
The scripture reminds me, "do not depend on your own understanding." That can sometimes be a hard thing to do. I can be a pretty independent person. My actions often show that I am trusting more in myself than in God.
Then there's the part about "seeking his will in all you do." Not just some things but everything. That can seem tiresome and tedious, because life has a lot of details. However, remember the words of Isaiah: "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 NLT
Is the Lord asking you to trust Him today?
Do it with all your heart and soar with the eagles.
