“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT
God is the source of all comfort. He is loving, compassionate and caring. When troubles or difficulties come your way, is He the one you turn to? Often times we seek comfort from within ourselves, but what we find isn't comfort at all...it's self-pity.
If we truly accept the truth that God is the source of all comfort, then He is the one to seek. We may just find Him in someone He has sent to us that has been through what we are going through.
The day may come where He sends you to someone else to be His conduit of comfort, giving to someone else what you have received from Him.
Are you in need of comfort? Look for God's comfort in His word or maybe He is sending someone your way.
If you have recently been the recipient of God's comfort, perhaps you will be His source of comfort in someone else's life today.
