Life markers are those things we can look back and see have truly impacted our lives, both good and bad…planned and unplanned.
I want to challenge you today to think in terms of Spiritual Life Markers.
Spiritual Life Markers for Every Believer
1. Salvation - a personal relationship with Jesus
2. Sanctification - becoming more like Jesus
3. Glorification - living with Jesus in Heaven
When a believer has experienced salvation and is now waiting for glorification without giving thought to the sanctification process, there is a problem. For far too many Christians, becoming like Jesus is simply not a priority.
If you haven’t already, I want you to consider making a commitment to live your life in passionate pursuit of becoming more like Christ.
How do we develop a passion for Christ? It’s a Life commitment of knowing Him, loving Him, trusting Him and seeking Him.
How do we sustain that passion?
Catch it - hang out with those who are passionate…it’s contagious.
Live it - Obey the Word - John 14:23: ”Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them."
Feed it - Abide in the Word - READ John 15
Would you be willing to say, “I want to spend my life in passionate pursuit of becoming more and more like Jesus?”
