“For you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. “ Philippians 1:5
We are all partners in grace. The word partner is defined as a person who shares or is associated with another in some action or endeavor; a sharer. Grace is defined as favor, goodwill, mercy, clemency, pardon, and forgiveness.
As born again believers we are born in a family of sharers of God’s goodwill…God’s Good News: Jesus.
There are two passages of scripture that best answer the questions: who shares?…who do we share with?…where do we share?…how do we share?
“Jesus came and told his disciples, 'I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”’ Matthew 28:18-20
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts of the Apostles 1:8
Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are partners in grace.
