Have you ever tried walking through mud? If it’s a thin layer, it can be slippery…if it’s thick, it can pull your shoes right off your feet. How about walking through thick dry sand? Maybe a little easier, but still strenuous and hard to sustain for any length of time.
It’s always better when you’re walking on solid ground. The same is true in our spiritual lives. However, there are times when we may find ourselves in the mud and mire, or maybe in the sifting sand. Here’s the good news…no, the great news: Jesus will lift you up and set your feet on solid ground. He will steady you as you walk along. Let Jesus be your solid rock…your firm foundation…your path to follow…your guide as you walk together. Will you join the psalmist and say: ”Now I stand on solid ground, and I will publicly praise the LORD.” Psalms 26:12 Bro. Joe Questions for Reflection:
