Are you prepared to have an encounter with your Lord this morning? Are you ready to hear what God wants to say to you?
Isn’t it absolutely incredible to think that we have the privilege and honor of entering into the very presence of God, creator of all the universe? And the best part is that He wants to meet with us. God has promised in His word “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” That is absolutely the best thing about going to church…God is always there. God is powerfully involved in every single worship gathering. The question isn’t whether “God will show up,” but whether WE will show up with our hearts prepared and minds tuned into what God is doing. If we’re not tuned in, we can miss Him altogether. I invite you to come together as the family of God with a sincere heart…a trusting heart…a humble heart…and a clean heart. If you do, this is what you’ll discover: the very heart of God in your worship. I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be. Bro. Joe Questions for Reflection:
This Week’s Suggested Readings: Sunday - Hebrews 10:19-25 Monday - Isaiah 6:1-8 Tuesday - Exodus 33:12-23 Wednesday - Jeremiah 29:11-13 Thursday - Psalm 5:7-8 Friday - Psalm 86 Saturday - 1 Timothy 6:11-16 Prayer God, help me to bring my full attention to you today. Remove the distractions and barriers stopping me from finding peace and hope in your presence. Lord, help me to have perseverance in my focus on you. Please give me the insight and courage to continuously step past the attacks on my focus. Help me to always return my thoughts to your presence. Let us, as it is written in Hebrews, “hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.” Amen.
