“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
Luke 2:7 We have very little information about Joseph’s and Mary’s interactions with the innkeeper. What we do know is there was no room for them at the inn. Definitions: Innkeeper: a person who owns or manages an inn. Inn: a place where someone pays to lodge or reside. We are all innkeepers…we either own or manage the inn of our life. As innkeepers, we each decide if there is room for Jesus. Our decision is often determined by whether we consider ourselves owners or managers of our inn. The truth is…from God’s perspective, we are really only managers of the life He has given us. Payment has already been made for Jesus to reside in our inn; it’s up to us to determine if we will make room for Him. The invitation is simple: God is making known to you today “a savior who is Christ the Lord.” Are you willing to come and see? Are you willing to go and tell? Will you make room in your heart for Jesus? Bro. Joe Questions for Reflection:
