This year is about gone...a few more days and we begin a brand new year.
As you take a moment to look back, what do you see? What is it that catches your attention? ...difficulties...heartaches...losses, or God's grace...mercies...blessings. Your perspective on the past will impact your outlook toward the future...your hope for the year to come. We often allow the pain of the past to hold us captive in the present and restrict the freedom of our future. There are times we simply need to let go of the past in order to move on to what lies ahead. “But I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:13-14 NLT Where's your focus? On the past, or what lies ahead? There is something specific that is in front of you..it's called hope. “And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.” Psalms 39:7 NLT Press on...
