I like having plenty of light in a room...windows with the blinds open...overhead lights lit...lamps turned on. It's not that I'm scared of the dark...I just like light. While this is true in my physical world, it is also true in my spiritual world.
God's word has a lot to say about light.
“For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!” Ephesians 5:8 NLT
“The LORD is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” Psalms 27:1 NLT
“Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness.” Luke 11:35 NLT “Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14 NLT
“This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.” 1 John 1:5 NLT
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5 NLT
“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12 NLT
Open the window to your soul and let the light of the world pour into your spirit. Walk in the light that leads to life.
Living in the light and loving it.
