"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6, 7 NLT)
The scripture admonishes us not to worry. Is that easy for you? It often seems that worry is my first response to many of life's circumstances. We tend to stop and focus on the the first four words of this passage, then continue trying to figure out a solution in our own way of thinking. All the while we're still worrying about the present situation. We miss the word that is key to not worrying: "instead". Don't continue worrying, instead, pray. In place of worrying you should pray. Also, don't worry while you pray. In your prayer tell God what you need, be specific. Thank Him for what He has done as well as what He is going to do. Instead of worrying you can walk in God's peace. Sounds like a plan to me. Bro. Joe
