“O LORD, I give my life to you. I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.”..."Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O LORD." Psalm 25:1-2, 7
Praise the Lord, we are not known by God for the sins of our past. “...if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John 1:9 NLT “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.” Hebrews 8:12 NLT
If God is not going to hold our past sins against us, shouldn't we also be willing to forgive ourselves and let go as well. God really does embody the phrase "to forgive and forget", and we should too.
When we experience God's forgiveness, we are also experiencing His mercy...His grace...His goodness...His unfailing love.
When the devil tries to remind you of your past sins, planting thoughts of guilt and shame, just take a stroll down memory lane with God's mercy, grace, goodness and unfailing love.
Forgiveness is a wonderful thing to experience.
