“Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?” He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).” John 1:35-39 NKJV
During our initial approach to Jesus and also as we continue our journey through life with Him, it's important that we answer the question “What are you seeking?”
While these motivations may eventually lead you to Jesus, there's a more direct route.
As is the case with the disciples, if we simply want to know where He is so we can be with Him - Jesus will smile and say, "Come and see!”
When we are willing to come and see where Jesus is, we discover it is a place...
...where relationship begins
...where the Word is understood
...where the true light dispels darkness
...where the Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world
Jesus’ invitation to you today is a simple one “Come and See!”
