"But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be. I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior." Isaiah 43:10-11 NLT
To be chosen generally indicates something special on the part of the one being chosen. In this case, that something special is not who's being chosen, but who is doing the choosing.
You've been selected, hand-picked, drafted, preferred or favored. However you want to look at it, God chose you when He invited you into a personal relationship with Him. Just like the children of Israel, God chose you to know Him, to believe in Him and to understand that He alone is God.
Understanding this truth should be both humbling and challenging at the same time. Knowing that you have been chosen should have a huge impact on the very choices that you make throughout your life.
Think about it. Will the choices that you make today lineup with the fact that you have been chosen by God to know Him...to believe Him...to understand Him?
