“When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.” Romans 1:12 NLT
I love this simple statement by Paul to the church in Rome. It literally describes the heartbeat of the body of Christ...the pulse of relational discipleship...the essence of our need for one another.
I need you and you need me. We each have a need to be encouraged that is matched by our need to experience the value of being an encourager.
What better place to experience this than in God's house with God's people.
“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT
Plan now to be in church this week to encourage someone and to be encouraged.
