Saying God will fight our battles means we do not have to anguish, be anxious, or be discouraged when bad things happen in our lives. When it seems a situation is hopeless or the matter at hand is too overwhelming, we may be tempted to doubt God. We must remember that no problem is beyond the scope of God’s sovereign care for His children. He has promised …

An important question to ask…present tense…not past Who is Jesus? The world needs to know the way…He is The world needs to know the truth…He is The world needs to know the life…He is Who is Jesus? He is…He is…He is the WORD “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” Jn 1:1-5 NLT God’s Word says: “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I declare you to be my Savior and Lord. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. Amen We are all trying to please someone. Who is it you’re trying to please the most? Are you more of a me pleaser, a people pleaser, or a God pleaser?
Becoming a God pleaser requires deliberate and consistent action on your part. You must be certain your life lines up with God’s desires for you. He must be your #1 priority so that His desires become your desires. A good beginning point in becoming a God pleaser is discovering what it is that pleases God. Ephesians 5:10 says, “Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.” So, what is it that pleases God? The answers can be found in God’s Word. And once you know what pleases Him, you can properly align your life with His desires. If you are His child, God is already at work in your life “giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” (Philippians 2:13) Walk in His power…follow His guidance…put Him first. Take time this week to look into the Word of God and discover those things that are pleasing to Him. You will find several in the suggested readings below. Are you willing to make an intentional, conscious effort to please God in all that you think, say and do? Bro. Joe Questions for Reflection:
